I am a self-taught artist based in Newcastle upon Tyne. I work mainly with pastels and acrylics, either on their own or together, depending on the subject and style of a painting.I grew up in the North East so my work is inspired by the industry, sport, history and wildlife of the area. I try to capture the mood and atmosphere of places and events as well as the character and sense of humour of the region.

I have had several solo and group exhibitions and one of my paintings was selected for the 2009 Pastel Society exhibition at The Mall Galleries, London.
